What Students Are Saying About MyCompLab

What was your first reaction to using MCL and why?

Identify one feature of MCL that you find useful.

That it was a helpful and useful way to pass in assignments and have the returned quickly.

I like how teachers comments are typed back into the returned assignment, because sometimes it is difficult to read comments.

I was glad that I wouldn't have to be printing out all my papers, because is inexpensive.

Most useful is being able to see all my grades and teacher's feedback.

I enjoy the program for the most part. It makes homework and passing papers in a lot easier.

The useful one to me is the upload documents button. It makes life easy.

My first reaction was nervousness because I didn't know where anything was until I began looking around the site.

I really like the "emal your instructor" button.

I thought a "paperless" english class was an effective way to go. It allows students to send their work in when it's due and late work is also obvious

I think the feedback is very useful. You get it sooner than hard copies and it's clear and easy to read. Also, the calendar is very useful it shows what's due and when and tell you the assignments.

I thought it was very convenient and student friendly in that we don't have to use paper or ink!!!

I enjoy having my professor's comments on the actual paper all typed out.

I liked MyCompLab a lot at the beginning because I wasn't wasting ink or paper

The most useful is being able to submit papers anytime.

WOW!!! This is pretty easy because I don't have to waste too much paper.

I like how it has a calendar to show you up coming assignments.

I thought it was a great idea because it was paperless and I found it easy to use.

I find the email your instructor feature real useful.

I liked it. Is a lot easier than having to print and use too much paper

The area where the teacher can suggest grammar review.

I think it was a cool idea. I liked we could write whenever, however we wanted to. No worries of loosing our papers.

The ability to work on it anywhere.

Not surprise, about half my classes last semester were using online sites to homework.

I like that you can compare without a hard program, but I don't like the toolbar provided for composing

I thought MyCompLab looked confusing at first but it turned out to be easy to use.

The most useful is saving paper.

I like MyCompLab because it's very easy to use and it saves ink and paper.

The fact that you can log-in anytime and turn in the homework, but if the internet goes down you're in trouble.

Disappointed because I knew that assignments would be due even if we didn't have class.

Most useful: is it's easy to pass things in, just hit submit, no printing.

I liked it a lot, but it took till the 2nd assignment to get used to.

One feature I find useful is the teacher's ability to send back our corrections right on our submissions.

It was sweet. I don’t have to print!

The feature where a professor can make a page for you to look at (ex. MLA Format). This helps me to understand why certain things get highlighted in my essay.

I thought it was a great way to save paper and made it easier to keep track of assignments

Most useful= easy mobility of page.

I was happy because it means that class is paperless and I enjoy e-mailing papers rather than printing them.

All the assignments and their descriptions are listed by date. (the green alarm clocks).

I love computers, so it already was appealing for me.

The most useful feature is the tutor feature, where you send it off they look at and send it back.

I was excited for the convenience it would provide. No printing paper, no hassle.

One aspect I find useful is the tabs on the side you can use for formatting, grammar, MLA, etc.

I thought it was interesting and something new because of the fact it does not use paper.

Useful - receive grades and comments more quickly

I was excited because my printer was broken.

Having citation resources.
I think if you type it on a Word document, you should just be able to submit it like that.

I like the idea of submitting papers online. It makes it much easier and cheaper for students.

I like how all of the grading comments are really clear.

I liked that I wouldn't have to print things off. If I can just submit electronically, I don't have to use paper or ink, and don't risk forgetting to bring an assignment into class.

I think it is very useful not wasting paper and not having to run around typing to print it.

I was happy because I didn't have to worry about bringing in any assignments. We don't have to waste any paper or ink too.

I think it is useful that you can export papers and get feedback on them.

I am really bad at computers so I was frustated at first but then I got used to it.

USEFUL - The calendar, and the fact that we are submitting work online

It was a nice easy way to keep track of what is due and when. I also love that I can be free of worry of my assignments becoming missing. Handing work in online =AWESOME

Most usefull - I can save my work

The layout was confusing, it took a couple of minutes to figure out where everything was.

I enjoy looking at my grades sooner their when we have class.

This is going to be great and helpful, less papers to bring and it's saving the world. This will suck, no snowdays for assignments due because their online

MLA help - useful

I loved it, it was environmentally helpful and I can use it for all my four years of college. Even telling my friends about it they thought it was awesome as well.

I like that we get your (the professor) input quickly and effeciently.

"Cool…no paper"/"man - I'll still have to submit papers on snow days."

I liked….nothing, email is better. I thought the actual writing section of the program was useful and have horrible features.

I like using MyCompLab because it was easy to submit, and it was nice getting feedback quickly after

I like the online tutoring service and the wasy to use gradebook.

It's easy b/c we don't have to print anything and I like computers

Useful - draft history

Better than conventional printing homework. Saves paper, ink and money/time.

Useful - submitting via internet and get feedback w/no paper problems

That it was easier just to send our exercises online rather to print them out.

Useful - being able to access work anywhere without using flash drive and calendar

I was unsure because I like having my work printed. I like trying new things through

One feature I found most useful was the tab on the side for MLA citing.

I liked the idea of using MyCompLab because it seemed like a really organized way to handle assignments and it also saves paper

Useful: you can see your teacher's feedback right online, then fix it right there.

It seemed like a descent software at first, it's format is ok and things were working. I was getting feedback properly

The most useful feature would be getting the papers back in a quick manner; without worrying about losing it.

I did not have any real good or bad reaction - I did consider, however, how it may be easier than handling papers.

I enjoy the calendar of assignments, it's very useful.

1. I like being able to see the reviews to my exercises and papers.

Being able to submit online and receive feedback so quickly is nice. It's writing software seems so bad that I would call it useless. Very hard to import, types badly, can't do images properly, etc. *(Did not read tutorials)

The most useful is probably how it shows us what is due and when it's due.

The most useful aspect would be how easy it is to submit and that it's paperless.

Most useful: Work submitted electronically leads to fewer misplaced items and is simply more organized, which I enjoy.
